Meeting called to order at 10:00 AM by Eric Platter, KC0YCJ on February 21, 2011.
A. Minutes from the previous board meeting were read by Steve Edwards N0QQN.
B. Treasurer Report: Donna Roland, KB0RQJ reported a balance of $1065.06 and that there are 57 members who have paid their dues. Charlie Fuqua, WA0YZW approved, seconded by Joe Buckley, KC0ICR.
C. Jon Schaumann, W0KZ and Bruce Quayle, K0ARY suggested dues be $25 for full members and $5 for associate members.
D. Associate members would vote on committees.
E. Motion made by Jon Schaumann, W0KZ regarding dues being $25 for all members was approved by the Board.
F. PL tone was discussed.
G. Roy Nelson, KA0UMJ suggestion about a 5th director was tabled.
H. Signature cards were discussed
I. Bill Usher, W0WJU suggested demonstrations for the summer months
J. 10 Meter net. Charlie Fuqua, WA0YZW and Paul Roberts, KC0BGD indicated that 10 meter is not good at night. Charlie Fuqua, WA0YZW mentioned that an 80 meter is better.
Jon’s Agenda
A. Information is archived by the web master.
B. There should be a biography of each member of the club
C. Manuals be compiled for equipment and that some tools be purchased
D. A list of responsibilities for the officers
E. Suggested a log book be kept at the repeater site.
F. Need to know electrical load at the site for a backup generator
G. Charlie Fuqua, WA0YZW wants an inventory of the club property
Deanna Bovaconti from Jefferson Memorial Hospital spoke to those in attendance.
