Meeting called to order at 6:03pm by Eric Platter, KC0YCJ on January 18, 2011.
Treasurer Report:
Treasurer, Donna Roland, KB0RQJ reported a deposit of $200 in dues and $44 from fifty/fifty drawing.
Secretary Report:
Secretary, Steve Edwards, N0QQN read general meeting minutes at which time a motion was made by Bill Usher, W0WJU and seconded by Donna Roland, KB0RQJ.
New Business:
A. Jon Schaumann, W0KZ suggested that time be set to get signature cards changed at the bank.
B. Eric Platter, KC0YCJ recommended that an organizational structure be created for the February meeting. He also informed the group that a presenter was obtained for the June meeting.
C. Bruce Quayle, K0ARY suggested that future meetings be structured and last no longer than 90 minutes.
D. Bill Usher, W0WJU suggested demonstrations.
E. Lori Robinson, KB0WWQ asked how many General Class licenses were in the club and suggested mentoring for those who hold a Technician Class license.
F. Charlie Fuqua, WA0YZW would like to see the group sponsor classes for upgrading licenses.
G. Bill DeCoursey, KA0RGI would like to have a 10 meter net and a tornado drill.
H. The clubs general budget was discussed. Jon Schaumann, W0KZ suggested that a capitalization fund should be considered. Jon Schaumann, W0KZ made a motion to take last year’s capital fund to buy equipment. Bill DeCoursey, KA0RGI seconded the motion.
Old Business:
A. Full membership and Associate membership dues were discussed. Full membership members would pay more than Associate members. Bruce Quayle, K0ARY and Jon Schaumann, W0KZ are to form a committee to form a proposal.
B. Rooster availability – will indicate who the current members are and those who let membership lapse. Dues must be paid by February 15th each year. Information to be provided to the Secretary via the Treasurer.
C. Net control – should announce the PL tones for the repeater at the beginning of the net. Trustee to make technical suggestion. Motioned by Jon Schaumann, W0KZ and seconded by Bill DeCoursey, KA0RGI.
D. It was recommended that parliamentary rules at the meetings.
E. Roy Nelson, KA0UMJ made the suggestion that there be a fifth Director
F. Bill DeCoursey, KA0RGI made a motion to amend the Bylaws to be taken to the membership. Seconded by Roy Nelson, KA0UMJ.
