Motion was made by Karl-KE0JWK & 2nd by Gary-KD0RIS to accept the Treasurer’s Report as read. Motion carried.

Secretary’s Report from the August 5, 2017 meeting was read by President, Lori-KB0WWQ.  Motion was made by Gary-KD0RIS & 2nd by Al-KB0MEB to accept the Secretary’s Report as read.  Motion carried.

It was reported that Boyd-KE0CEG has stepped down as Secretary as his cancer has returned.  Nominations to fill the Secretary position for the remainder of 2017 from the floor were opened & will remain open till our next meeting on 10/7/17.  Donna-KB0RQJ was nominated & has accepted the nomination.  Election will take place at the 10/7/17 meeting.  If anyone else wishes to place their name on the ballot for the Secretary position, please get with one of the Officers or Board Members.

Jim-WA0FQK gave a recap on the Bottleneck Bridge Ride from 8/20/17.  Event organizers were impressed with our radio communication proficiency & the set up Kevin-K0KEV had at the start/finish point @ the Main & Mill Brewery in Festus.  There were a few snafus from the Trailnet side of things, but our side was a HUGE success.  He also said there are plans in the works for another bike ride to take place in May, 2018 in the Festus/Crystal City area.  May is National Bicycle Month.  This will be a much shorter route (only 20 – 30 miles) & since this is a timed event, each rider will have a chip on their shoe that is to keep track of the rider’s times.  This should cut down on any stragglers.

Jim also reported that a new mast & 2 meter antennae was installed at the new EOC office in Herculaneum.  This was put to the test on 8/21/17 (Total Solar Eclipse day) & everything worked just fine.

Jim mentioned that we’re coming up on the DX season & any HAM that wishes to use the club call sign of KB0TLL may do so within their operating band privileges.  They should then send their information to Jim who will send out the Club QSL cards so we can get the ARRL DXCC award.

Lori-KB0WWQ reported that the 4 Hams that went to the Herculaneum High School Total Solar Eclipse event  on 8/21/17 had very little to do.  Event organizers did not have a predetermined idea of just what they wanted us to do.  We just made it up as we went along.

Bill-KD0EPA is still planning on conducting a Fox Hunt after the 10/7/17 meeting.  The location has not been finalized at this time, but he plans on having it nailed down soon. More information will be available at the October meeting.

Bill-WB0MHU did not have anything else to report on the repeaters.  The AC unit installed at the .075 site is working fine.

Karl-KE0JWK gave an update on the Facebook page.  If anyone wants to post something on the page, please contact him.  He asked that we provide an updated Club Roster which Eric-KC0YCJ said he will do.

Eric-KC0YCJ requested that everyone review their contact information on the Club Roster & get with him for any updates needed.
