Board Meeting Minutes May 8, 2017
KB0WWQ called the meeting to order at Jefferson Mercy Hospital of Festus,
Missouri at 6:03 PM.

The report was accepted by the Board.
Secretary’s Report
The minutes were read for April 10, 2017 and were accepted by the Board.
Field Day
Food discussion
Decision on food depending on what appliances are available. A main source of
food will be brought up at next club meeting. A side dish was also discussed.
Sun Ridge Park reserved and also Porta Potty.
6 Meter station, PSK, CW will also be an addition to the HF Sideband contacts at
Field Day.
Repeater Committee Budget
A vote for establishing a budget for the Repeater was accepted by the Board. The
amount established, $100.00.
The Washington Hamfest will be used to facilitate more funds for the Repeater
Committee.
KB0WWQ may include sealed bids for the equipment.
Hiram Maxim Scholarship
WB0MHU will send letter of Scholarship recommendation when Letterhead is
issued.
Fox Hunt
Postponed until next meeting due to weather conditions.
JOTA
100 Notifications will be sent out to all areas that need information on the
Jefferson County Amateur Radio Club location.
Antenna Connector
WA0YZW received a connector that will work with the hard line on the 7.075
repeater.
Bottleneck Bridge Ride
August will be the time the bike ride will be on. Volunteers will be needed.

Many locations will be having Solar Celebrations. Herculaneum, Arnold, and
private locations close to the passover.

Hillsboro County Fair
Apple Butter Festival
Volunteers needed to set up radio and allow public to get involved with or
exposed to Amateur radio.
Karl Schneider has been given permission to start Facebook page for the
Jefferson County Amateur Radio Club with two administrators. N0HKK and
KC0YCJ.
Winter Field Day
January 27, 2018 was suggested for JCARC to be involved by using the
Conservation Club actual clubhouse. For more information

Repeater Expenses
It was noted that the Jefferson County Amateur Radio Club expenses were kept
at a minimum by the help of Jefferson County.
